ACTIVITY ONE:
COLOURING A PUZZLE

In this activity I made a homemade puzzle in black and white. I then placed the materials in front of children in hopes that they would colour in the pieces. From doing this activity I saw that the puzzle was too difficult and the pieces were too small for the children to properly colour.

ACTIVITY TWO:
SHAKING BOTTLES

For this activity I made homemade shakers in plastic water bottles. I had filled three water bottles, one with dry penne pasta, one with dry rice and one with buttons. The children loved this activity and being able to explore the different sounds that the shakers made.

ACTIVITY THREE:
LOOKING IN A MIRROR

This activity allowed children to explore what they look like in a different shaped mirror. The children were able to see that they look the same, even though the mirror is a different shape. The only thing that I would change from this activity would be to make the mirror bigger so the children could see themselves easier.

ACTIVITY FOUR:

TEXTURED STAMPS

In this activity I provided children with textured stamps where they were able to dip them in paint and then press them onto the paper. The children enjoyed this creative activity and were able to see how each stamp left a different mark on the paper.

ACTIVITY FIVE:
GLITTER

HOURGLASS

For this activity I made hourglasses in plastic bottles. In one hourglass I had glitter and in the other I had beads. These two materials allowed the children to see how the different materials fill spaces. The children liked shaking the hourglasses to see the materials moving around.
